One more day - what are your best memories
|
With one more full day left with the fat cancer in charge of our beloved team it's time for all the negativity he has brought to be finally lifted. With the managers mentioned as likely replacements it looks as if we may well get someone that may actually unite most if not all the fans and bring much needed positivity back.
It's going to be fun to go to football again, it's gonna be exciting to support the team we love again. A brilliant final season awaits us as we say goodbye to a wonderful home with some great nights of European football under the lights.
So to get a head start on this positivity give me your favourite moments from the past 4 years and the thing you're most looking forward to (potentially) next season.
For me the memory has to be the play off final. The match itself might not have been the greatest but the day as a whole was brilliant.
And looking forward to a nice Euro away trip.
What's yours?

I'm not 29, that's an old number.
What does that have to do with anything? You're the one making the claim and you're not prepared to back it up.

Johnson 1:09 Sun May 24 Surprised to see that your profile says you are 29. As I said, read back. If you don't care too then that's fair enough.

Private Dancer 12:45 Sun May 24 I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything and my arguments certainly aren't weak. They are logical and sensible. If you have your own ideas the I am happy to discuss them sensibly, constructively without malice. Alternatively, if you want to take your ball and play elsewhere then feel free.
Let's get this clear. If Sam goes and West Ham move to the next level playing exciting and attractive football then I'll be as happy as anyone. Why wouldn't I be? I support West Ham and always have done, always will. But I will argue with people who make illogical, contentious and ill-thought out statements.
AlexG. This type of free thinking will do you no good here. There's a party line here that you cross at your peril.

he's a divisive figure who thinks he's doing the club a favour by managing us. the players look almost as bored as the fans with the way he wants them to play. his favouritism to certain squad members and total ignorance towards others is baffling. obviously some will continue to back him as he delivers premier league football for yet another season but isn't there more to supporting a team than merely surviving? shouldn't enjoyment come in to it more than a couple of times a season?

My best memories are hopefully soonm in the future when we really step up and I will fondly remeber Sam's important time woith us, rescuing us and putting us in a great position to go forwards.
Thanks Sam.
I only hope the next man can fulfill their brief as well as you fulfilled yours.

Blagg - You really aren't convincing anyone. Your arguements are just too weak I'm afraid. You should call it a day, and embrace the future without a bitter and twisted dinosaur at the helm.

Can't wait to get back to how things were before Allardyce took over.
The Grant season is one that fans of other football clubs look to with envy, wishing their team could reach that level of success, quality and entertainment.

Sloppy Giuseppe 12:02 Sun May 24 As I sit here on Sunday morning - yes. If Kloop or Benitez or Moyes were available then perhaps not. But presumably the owners have a list of five or six people they would like. How far do you go down that list before you're actually cutting off your nose? As I've said somewhere else here, I'm a Contractor and I'd discuss what I wanted and see what they wanted and (hopefully) reach an agreement. If I was Gold and Sullivan right now I might see if a one year contract was a goer. Then they could see if the Jan-May scenario plays out again. With more ££ and a bigger squad I don't see why it should. I take what you say about 'football moving on' but WHU owners can't gamble on finding someone who has moved it on.
Johnson 12:20 Sun May 24 Already had Mr Polite complaining I write too much so don't see any point in repeating it. 'Deluded and talking bollocks' to me are people stating opinions as a FACT and arguing one angle without seeing the other.

No, he's not the antichrist, but he's a limited manager, obstinate to a fault and will not change. Does a job and in that respect has stabilised the club with significant financial backing from The Daves. It's now time to actually move on. Football has changed. Sam has not.

No I don't, well apart from you.
Maybe you could pick out some this delusion and bollocks mongering and highlight it and I'll let you know if I agree with it or not.

Sterling, yes that could be a reasonable point but it's stupid to say that we've had a strong squad and pretend that Sam hasn't been at least part of the reason behind it. Kouyate, for example, wouldn't be here but for Allardyce (and might not be here after btw).
The three wins since January has been bad but how many more points would we have had if Carroll had Sakho been fit? I'm not and never have claimed BFS is Ferguson. Mourinho or Trapattoni but Sam isn't the Anti-Christ either.

Billy, it would also be a reasonable point that another manager could have done a lot better with strongest squad we have had in years. Certainly better than 3 wins since January.
